For me, the master’s program at HSE Online goes beyond studying. It has become a framework for building the future version of myself.
Almost all of our professors come from technology corporations, so students receive up‑to‑date knowledge rather than outdated material.

The offline events offered by the program provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and impressions with classmates in an informal, in-person setting. Finally, the ability to create your own projects and products as part of the coursework makes it possible even to launch your own startup.

It’s hard to pick just a few highlights, because I love everything about the online master’s program.

The program continues to meet all my expectations and often even exceeds them.

I am very pleased with how student-focused the professors are as they all respond very quickly in the chat rooms and often stay after class at our request to provide additional explanations so that everyone understands the material.

It’s really convenient that we can take a flexible approach to writing our thesis and work together on a single topic since collaborating as a pair allows us to look at the research question from different angles, and our advisor takes our interests and ideas into account and regularly helps us make progress in our research. Another advantage of the online program is the ability to balance it with work. For example, I needed to reduce my course load in the first module because I had changed jobs, and my new position required more time and focus. Now that I’ve adjusted, I’ve taken on more courses for the current module.

While studying at college, where I majored in Advertising, I gained profound knowledge and wanted to immediately apply it in practice.

It was important for me to choose a university that provides opportunities to develop both soft and professional skills. Right now, I’m studying among some of the strongest students, with whom we actively work on projects, analyze real-world cases, and even make plans to build a shared professional future. This format allows me to combine theory with hands-on practice, which was initially my main goal.

I have been working in marketing for about four years and currently hold the position of brand manager in the online education industry. I originally studied to become a music sound engineer, but during my final years of study, I started working in marketing and immediately realized I had found my calling.

The online format is convenient because it’s easy to balance study with work. There’s no need to spend time commuting to the university, and if necessary, you can review recorded lectures to reinforce the material.

My expectations for the program were fully met. The curriculum provides fundamental knowledge across all key areas of marketing, from psychology and research to working with metrics and finance. Most importantly, it develops marketing and business thinking.

Of course, balancing work and study isn’t easy, but the desire to gain up-to-date knowledge, as well as networking with professionals from various fields, far outweighs any difficulties that arise.

I’ve been interested in data analysis for a long time, alongside organizational psychology. The idea of combining these two passions had been brewing for several years, and the master’s program became the missing piece of the puzzle. I had no doubts before applying as I immediately realized that this was exactly what I needed, and I was not mistaken in my choice. The program is intensive, and, importantly, it offers the opportunity to develop in various directions without limiting oneself to just one area.

The online format didn’t concern me. Although I was used to in‑person classes, the ability to study at my own pace and balance work, projects, and personal interests was a major plus. The materials are always at hand and very detailed, and you can review the class recordings. The program is so intensive and dynamic that it’s very difficult to take in everything it offers. And that’s the beauty of it. Learning isn’t easy — it's an inspiring challenge. This is a program for the passionate and driven.

I especially appreciate the professors' approach, who’re always ready to help, support, and offer guidance, and their course materials are top‑notch. Thanks to the program, I’ve mastered new tools and approaches and discovered fresh ideas that I’m already applying in my projects.

A huge thank you to the academic director and the team for their attention to every student and for creating such an inspiring atmosphere. Without a doubt, I would choose this dream program again.

The program fully met my expectations as I gained a lot of new knowledge and reinforced what I already knew in the areas of investment analysis and corporate finance.

I would like to give special mention to the professors, who are all practitioners, hold international professional certifications, and actively share their experience. I would particularly like to highlight Sergey Zakharov’s course on investment banking and Anatoly Potashov’s courses, which were extremely helpful to me later on and proved to be most useful for the area of finance in which I am developing my career.

The online format was also very helpful because it allowed me to balance my studies with work without compromising the program’s effectiveness. I highly recommend this master’s program to all prospective students!
