What really caught my attention was the online format. At the time I enrolled, I was already working and running my own projects, so I hadn’t even considered in-person classes.

I applied to the program in 2023, and the key factors in my decision were the online format and the practical focus of the courses. The online master’s program fully met my expectations.

The curriculum is structured logically across 2 years, where the first year provides a solid foundation and the second is dedicated to in‑depth topics. This approach ensures a smooth transition into the field and gradual mastery of complex concepts. Studying in English is an added benefit, allowing me to develop my professional vocabulary. In computer science, English is the standard working language.

I appreciated the availability of university-wide elective courses. This provides an opportunity to go beyond the scope of the main specialization and study related disciplines. For example, I took additional courses in deep learning (DL).

I rate my master’s program positively and recommend this program to anyone interested in studying computer vision.

Alexander Dadukhin
Program graduate
The program left a lasting impression on me thanks to the high quality of instruction and the well-designed course structure.

I came to the program with an interest in computer vision, but with fragmented knowledge. For this reason, I was looking for a systematic approach, depth, and serious intellectual challenges, and this is exactly what I received. The program provides a fundamental theoretical foundation in computer vision and machine learning, which is immediately reinforced by practical assignments and complex engineering challenges.

Working on real-world applied projects was particularly valuable from classic image processing algorithms to generative models and the implementation of neural networks on mobile devices. Many practical assignments were designed to provide research experience.

The strong faculty, constant feedback, and relevance of the course materials made the learning experience truly in‑depth and systematic. The program helped me structure my knowledge and taught me to confidently apply computer vision in my professional field.

Denis Dagaev
Program graduate
I completed the online master’s program in "Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision" in 2025. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations going in, but the program really surprised me.

The main thing that caught my attention was the online format. At the time of admission, I was already working, developing projects, and hadn’t even considered on-campus study. But here — lectures on the go, homework on weekends, and 2−3 hours in the evening after work. A normal rhythm, without feeling like you’ve dropped out of life for two years.

I had a three-year break after my bachelor's degree, and I was really afraid it would be hard to get back into studying. But in the first semester, a lot of attention is paid to reviewing fundamental subjects: calculus, linear algebra, and programming, so it was comfortable to continue studying.

I was pleased that almost every course ends with a project — not an abstract exercise, but work that you can keep in your portfolio or use later. For me, as someone who thinks in terms of products, that was important.

In terms of content, we covered everything: from classic computer vision (CV) algorithms and data collection to model training and designing our own architectures. The materials are up‑to‑date, without the feeling that you’re learning technologies from five years ago. In our field, this is critical.

By the third module, I had already landed a well-paying position on a computer vision project — the program paid for itself before I even finished it. For me, that’s the best argument.

By the third module, I had already landed a well-paying position on a computer vision project — the program paid for itself before I even finished it. For me, that’s the best proof there is.
